What happened next
Taffer's visit took place at the beginning of 2017, well over a year before the episode aired in June 2018. The Valley Saloon name lasted only briefly: shortly after the rescue, owner Chris Woodbury changed the bar's name back to Barley Pop's. In mid-2017, about six months after the visit, the bar was shut down after failing a health inspection; inspectors found a cockroach infestation and fruit flies in the liquor bottles. Barley Pop's recovered and was still trading in Las Vegas in 2023, operating under its original name, with a pizza business, One Slice of New York, running inside the bar.
