What happened next
Relaunched as Leia's, the bar saw sales rise after the rescue, driven mainly by the nightclub side of the business, which drew a younger crowd. The venue was troubled by violence, however: one patron needed 140 stitches after an incident, a stabbing took place in 2020, and a bouncer fired a gun. Reviews were poor, at 2.5 stars on Yelp. The recovery ended in May 2022, when the Tracy Planning Commission voted on May 13 to revoke the bar's permit to operate after 11 p.m., citing fights and rowdiness at the venue, and Leia's closed.
