Six weeks after the rescue, sales and revenue were up sharply, helping Darian manage the bar's debt. The new name did not last: Darian returned to TJ Quills almost as soon as Taffer left, and the bar continued trading under its original name in New Orleans. It remained active on Facebook, posting specials and events aimed at its college crowd, and was still open in 2023. The bar later closed for around a year before reopening in August 2026 under new ownership, still trading as TJ Quills.
