What happened next
Six weeks after the rescue, happy-hour sales at Ele Lounge had doubled and late-night sales were well up. The gains faded quickly. Ele Lounge closed in August 2015, only a few months after its episode aired and less than a year after Taffer's visit. The bar gave no reason for the closure and made no announcement on social media. Although it kept many of Taffer's changes, staff had resumed dancing for tips before the end. At closure the bar had no reviews on its new Yelp page and held a mediocre 3.6-star rating across about a dozen Google reviews.
